Regional Office of Directorate General of Central Java held a social action in the old city of Semarang

About Semarang – The Regional Office of the Directorate General of Corrections (Regional Office of Ditjenpas) of Central Java held a series of social activities in order to support the National Penitentiary Movement, Thursday (6/26).

This action aims to foster a spirit of concern and community service. The activity began with a morning apple together, followed by the distribution of social assistance, and community service in the historical area of ​​the old city of Semarang.

The morning apple was led directly by the Head of the Central Java Regional Office of Community Guidance and was attended by the Head of the Class I Correctional Center (Bapas) Semarang, the Regional Office of the Regional Office, and all Bapas employees.

The apple is a symbol of togetherness as well as the beginning of a commitment to move actively to make a positive contribution to the community.

After the apple, social assistance was distributed to three janitors and four Blenduk Church security officers, as a form of appreciation for their role in maintaining the cleanliness and security of the Semarang City cultural icon.

The distribution of this assistance also emphasizes the commitment of correctional prisoners to attend and care for others.

This social activity was closed with a work of community service to clean the area around the Blenduk Church and Taman Sri Scissors.

The action not only aims to maintain the cleanliness of the historic environment, but also strengthen the emotional relationship between correctional employees and the local community. The participants enthusiastically cleaned the environment while interacting with local residents.

The Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Central Java, Mardi Santoso, revealed that the National Correctional Movement was not just ceremonial, but a concrete form of devotion.

“This is proof that correctional people are present in the community. Our task is not only fostering, but also serves and provides direct benefits,” said Mardi.
